Antimicrobial efficacy of non-fluoride toothpaste on isolated oral microbes – An in vitro study

چکیده


 Objective: To evaluate the Antimicrobial Efficacy of Non-Fluoride Toothpaste on Isolated Oral Microbes
 Method: The antimicrobial activity non-fluoride toothpaste against isolated oral microbes was determined by dilution method at neat dilution, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16.
 Results: Study results showed that Streptococcus spp resistant while maximum zone inhibition Lactobacilli spp. It also observed decreases with increase in except for spp.
 Conclusion: This study revealed containing mainly triclosan natural extract significantly effective most causing diseases it however, little or no effect which is primarily involved caries initiation.
